About the Staff

William Parker- The DeFacto Editor in Chief, and Head Writer, of The Columbus Digest has been working in the food service industry for nearly a decade, from fast food, to taco stands,to small town family restaurants, to large corporate chain restaurants. His love affair with food started very young when he realized he just couldn't live with out it, then grew as he practiced making it for himself and others. He developed an almost surreal joy in the face of peoples happiness when they eat a good meal, loving the instant gratification it offers in comparison to most jobs. He moved from job to job, his passion for his work helping him move quickly into management positions almost everywhere he went, until eventually he got hired on at Cebars Madison Restaurant and Lounge and was put in charge of their nightly and weekend specials, which is when his love of food really went Ape Sh*t. He was suddenly being payed to do more than just make food, he was was being payed to make up new foods, which led him down a long and winding road of crazed late night experiments an midnight taste tests.
But eventually it was time for him to move on, following the love of his life (the one that isn't food, well, not to him, maybe to wolves or something,) to Columbus, Ohio where he lives to this day, thriving in it's rich 'Foodie,' enviroment.
*None of this intense and rigorous training has prevented said love of his life from having to follow after him making sure he shuts burners and the oven off.
